CATE

Originally an acronym for catholic around the edges because I grew up catholic and also on a farm, and Mother Nature applied to all, equally… I liked that; universal laws on how life and nature worked. Farm life depended a lot on Mother Nature (especially weather!) and faith, so these were interwoven…and sometimes, they conflicted. Universal laws always won.

Personal Spirituality Course

by Anne Wondra, WonderSpirit

Everyday Spiritual, not religious, because Spiritual is inclusive of everyone.

During tha 2020 pandemic, I created this Personal Spirituality e-course. It was fun and good and it included all of what I was most passionate about; and the online software program I’d found was easy to use and allowed me to include videos, audio files, pictures, downloadable documents, and words, of course. It was also an energizing use of the abundance of home retreat time one had available to them during that period.

Unfortunately, like many small businesses during that time, the software company ended up closing and my e-course was no longer accessible. Before it closed, however, I did save a copy of my course outline and all of tha lesson materials.

Lesson 4: Faith, Religions, Bridges of Understanding–Diverse Communities, Families.

Lutheran friends, 1970’s—asked a lot of questions about why Catholics believe and teach things like confession, Mary, tradition instead of bible, etc. I needed answers that made sense and elevated all.
Later, a religious studies university student headed for ministry, I was still reading and listening differently, creating bridges. Words matter.

Lesson 5: Death, Afterlife, and Eternal LIFE Abilities, Purpose.

Our Catholic Imagination gave us ample visuals: Heaven, hell, purgatory, limbo; angels and saints and more. Is it enough? comforting? Or not? When a death meets you close and personally; it’s compels revisiting open questions, beliefs, now.

Lesson 6: Life Purpose, Making Life Easier.

Soul paths, sacred contracts, spiritual awakenings, and watershed events. Clues and a co-creating secret. Your Soul was excited to come here; this Life is important.

I don’t want to miss my life! – Sylvia Beringer, wise woman, storyteller
